Shikokumura
Shikokumura is an outdoor museum in Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture, which exhibits folk houses from each district of Shikoku that have been relocated and reconstructed. The buildings themselves were in use from the Edo period to the Taisho period, and on display inside the rooms are everyday items commonly used during that time. Structures that were essential to the traditional industries of Kagawa Prefecture and communal village spaces have also been restored. Seasonal flowers bloom throughout the year within the grounds, so visitors can enjoy the nature of Shikoku while taking a stroll. Be sure not to miss a taste of freshly made sanuki udon, a specialty of Kagawa, at an udon noodle shop located in a reconstructed thatched-roof farmhouse originally built in the Edo period.
