Kamo Aquarium
Best known for its vast collection of jellyfish, Kamo Aquarium is located in Tsuruoka. In fact, the aquarium was recognized as having the world's largest collection of jellyfish by Guinness World Records in 2012. In addition to its jellyfish exhibit, the aquarium also hosts a seal show a few times daily in their outdoor arena. You can also see various sea- and freshwater fish. Visitors may also access the roof to gaze upon the Sea of Japan and the surrounding coastline. A cafe and souvenir shop can also be found within the aquarium. This location is perfect for families with children.
