Kabira Wan Bay Glass Boats
Kabira Wan Bay is a beach on Okinawa's outlying Ishigakijima Island, known for having some of the clearest water in Japan. Along with Mt. Fuji, Ishigakijima Island is one of only 17 scenic places in Japan to have received three stars in the Michelin Green Guidebook, making it a popular destination for both domestic and international tourists.
The emerald-green sea surrounding the island is famous for its cultivation of black pearls, and there is plenty of greenery on the coast as well. The coral and colorful tropical fish may tempt visitors to take a dip, but unfortunately Kabira Wan Bay has a particularly strong undertow, so swimming is not allowed.
For those who want to enjoy the underwater world of Kabira Wan Bay, we recommend the glass boats. No special equipment is necessary, and everyone from small children to the elderly can enjoy the experience. The boats stop at places where fish often gather and the coral is most beautiful, so passengers can leisurely indulge in real wildlife territory.
