It was recommended to me to visit this garden and it did not disappoint. Though there are not as many flowers in bloom during the summer, the cacophony of insects buzzing in the trees and birds chirping still gave a very serene experience. Some of the highlights for me were the climbable hills. At the top, there are stunning views of the teahouses and various fauna in the gardens as well as the metropolis surrounding it. There are plaques detailing the history of the grounds which are both in Japanese and English. Overall, it was a great place to visit and easily recommendable.

As the weather was really nice, I thought it'd be a good idea to head to the Hama Rikyu garden in the central of Tokyo for a stroll. I had initially wanted to try some matcha at the Nakajima no Ochaya tea house that sits upon an island, however it, along with the other two tea houses sitting opposite to it, were closed and will be closed till the middle of March, so that was a bit of a shame. Nonetheless, the 300-year-old pine tree was a spectacular sight and the flower field with several plum blossom trees that had begun to bloom more than made up for it. A nice-sized, peaceful oasis to escape to in central Tokyo.
