Edo Taito Traditional Crafts Center
The Edo Taito Traditional Crafts Center is a museum in the Taito ward that introduces traditional crafts and the skills of artisans that have been passed down since the Edo period. Including Edo bamboo screens, Tokyo paulownia chests, Edo cabinetwork, and more, there are 48 kinds and in total 250 diverse crafts on display. On weekends, stage shows are held on the second floor, and visitors will have the chance to see the skills of the traditional craft artisans at close range. As of March 2019, the exhibit explanations inside the center can be accessed by smartphone, and the equipment for the large-scale displays was renewed. The explanations at the touch panel can be viewed in Japanese, English, Chinese, and Korean.
