Ryogoku Edo NOREN
Edo NOREN in Ryogoku is a business facility with 11 different long-standing and famous shops that specialize in Edo gourmet. Incorporating the idea of "enjoying the sophisticated food culture of Edo" as a concept, the shops offer a variety of cuisines, including sushi, okonomiyaki, monjayaki, seafood, tempura, soba noodles, and more. The facility is easily accessible, connected directly to the West Exit of JR Ryogoku Station. The interior utilizes the former station building and has a retro atmosphere, and, fitting for Ryogoku, which is famous for sumo wrestling, there is even an arena set up. It's not only food that's available, though: a shop called Tokyo Shoten sells nihonshu (Japanese rice wine, sake) from every brewery in Tokyo, and inside the shop, there is an automatically-operated sake machine that can distill 30 different kinds of nihonshu. There is also a Ryogoku Sightseeing Information desk, so it's a good place to stop by if you're unsure of where you'd like to visit in Ryogoku.
