Unshoji Temple
Unshoji Temple, located in Oga City, Akita, is well-known for its abundant hydrangeas, leading it to be known as one of Japan's many "hydrangea temples." The temple boasts around 1,500 hydrangea plants, the vivid blue and purple blossoms of which can be seen each year in June and July. The flowers have been meticulously maintained by the priests of the temple for over 15 years, and each year welcomes more blossoms than the last.
