Tenryuji Temple is a Zen Buddhist temple in the Arashiyama district in the west of Kyoto. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and considered one of the most important Zen temples in Kyoto. It is particularly famous for its Japanese landscape garden that seamlessly integrates the mountains of Arashiyama in the background into its design. Another highlight of the temple is its meditation hall which features a dragon picture on its ceiling.
