池袋にあるサンシャイン水族館は、地上40mのワールドインポートマートビルの屋上にある都市型水族館です。
「天空のオアシス」がコンセプトで、ヤシの木が茂る「マリンガーデン」や、青くきらめく巨大水槽など、ビルの屋上にあるとは思えない癒しの空間が広がっています。ペンギンが空を飛んでいるように見える水槽や、コツメカワウソのエサやり、ペンギン・アシカのパフォーマンスなど、来場者を楽しませる仕掛けやイベントも充実しています。

Sunshine Aquarium is partially located on top of a tall building which makes the experience even more impressive. There is a lot of unique exhibits - a wide range of rare fish and other sea creatures. There’s also the classic large sea animals like penguins, stingrays, octopuses, otters, sea lions and seals.

It gets pretty crowded on weekends so I’d recommend going on a weekday if possible. Entry is cheap and the aquarium is very well maintained. 2 hours is more than enough time to see everything here.
