Shiofune Kannonji Temple
The Shiofune Kannonji Temple is a Buddhist temple near Tokyo that is devoted to the bodhisattva of mercy, Kannon (or Guanyin in Chinese). It is particularly famous for its azalea garden that blooms in late spring. The colorful scenery of the different azalea blossoms in late April and early May draws visitors from all over the world who love to take photos of Japanese flower gardens. But even beyond early May, the other types of flowers blossoming during the rainy season and summer in the temple's garden are a sight to behold. The temple is located in Ome, on the outskirts of Tokyo. It is about a 2.5km walk away from Kabe station (JR).
