おりがみ会館
東京都 御茶ノ水駅の近くにあるおりがみ会館は、折り紙作品の展示、和紙や民芸品の販売、折り紙のワークショップ等を行う施設です。染紙・千代紙製造の老舗「小林染紙店」が母体となっており、工房では手作業で和紙染めが行われています。
また館内では、折り紙教室にも参加できます。気軽に参加できる初心者向けから本格的な上級者向けまで、様々な講座が開講されています。

I found this place to be quite interesting as you learn what origami means to Japanese culture and how different creations are used to express different values. It is so impressive to see the origami in a museum made into incredible shapes. You can even go upstairs and take origami making classes for as little as 1000¥ which I recommend booking ahead for to guarantee a seat. I think this place offers quite a different experience in Tokyo and would be great to go to if you have some free time while visiting.
