Omoide no Katabunko
Omoide no Katabunko in Semboku City, Akita Prefecture, is a wooden schoolhouse that was closed in 1974, restored, and re-opened to the general public. The old-fashioned refinement of the classrooms has been preserved, leading them to look just like a movie set and letting visitors immerse themselves in nostalgia. In addition to being open to the public, Omoide no Katabunko is also used as a venue for events such as the Tazawako Craft Market, which takes place every year in May.
