Miyajima Ropeway
Leading up to the highest peak of Miyajima Island, the Miyajima Ropeway will give travelers a uniquely serene view as they begin the ascent of Mt. Misen, which sits at 535 meters above sea level. While moving up in the gondola, an unparalleled view of the Seto Inland Sea and its many beautiful inlets will spread out below. Visitors who stop at Reikado Hall will have the opportunity to see the Kiezu-no-hi, or Eternal Flame, which has been kept alight for 1,200 years. The ropeway also overlooks the Misen Primeval Forest, which was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996. While hiking up the mountain also offers unique views and experiences, nature lovers and photographers should make sure not to miss the stunning beauty that can be viewed from the ropeway.
