Kuniga Kaigan Coast
Kuniga Kaigan Coast is a breathtakingly beautiful spot off the coast of Shimane prefecture, and the area itself has been designated an official National Park.
The Kuniga Kaigan Coast's picturesque scenery is the result of tide-worn sea erosion of the cliffs there which are well over 100 meters high and with one particular cliff being nearly 300 meters high. These cliffs are so spectacularly beautiful that they even have names, and in particular the 275 meter cliff names Matengai is a must see part of the scenery with it's unique natural rock formations. Other cliffs called Tenjokai and Tsutenkyo are also worth checking out!
Accessible via land or pleasure cruise boat, this almost untouched natural environment even has cows and horses grazing on the lush green grass of the surrounding hills. Overall, this spot is a great relaxing environment to enjoy beautiful scenes of the sea, cliffs and rock formations, and the sky. Definitely worth the visit!
