Kawaguchiko Lake
Kawaguchiko Lake in Yamanashi Prefecture is a popular destination as one of the "Fuji Five Lakes" and is quite accessible from Tokyo proper. Kawaguchiko Lake is the second biggest lake among the "Fuji Five Lakes", it manages to draw consistent attention with the beautiful view it offers of Mount Fuji. Apart from that, the lesser known facilities in the area like the Kawaguchiko Museum of Art, the Yamanashi Gem Museum, the Kachi Kachi Roapway, the Kaiun no Yu Onsen and so on are equally well worth a visit. Enjoy a nice walk along the lake if the weather allows it, or indulge in one of the many possible indoor activities.
