One of the three largest Inari shrines in Japan, Kasama Inari Jinja Shrine is also where you can find Daikokuten, one of the Seven Gods of Good Fortune. Built in the year 651, this beautiful shrine holds a long history of over 13 centuries! It thrived especially during the Edo period (1600-1867) when the shrine was dedicated to feudal lord of the Kasama Domain. Today, the shrine is still very popular and is said to receive annual visits by about 3.5 million pilgrims.
