The Itozu no Mori Zoological Park includes factors of both zoos and amusement parks. Over 100 kinds of animals at 500 points are exhibited in the Animal Zone, and as much as possible the animals are kept without cages in environments outfitted to be close to their natural habitat. The petting zoo, where visitors can also feed and pet the animals, is popular among couples and families. Within the premises there are also a variety of other enjoyment facilities such as a ferris wheel, merry-go-round, and athletic attractions as well as an open lawn in the Park Zone, making for a full day of relaxing fun.
