Hirosaki Koen Park is a beautiful place to spend an afternoon! It’s famous for its cherry blossoms, of course, but it’s also stunning in winter when every surface is covered in snow. Hirosaki-jo Castle is also located inside the park, which is definitely something not to miss. I’d recommend allowing plenty of time for a visit to the park, so that you don’t have to skip out on any of the fun, such as the botanical gardens, the museum, or the café at the south side.
