Gifu Media Cosmos or "Minna no Mori" (Everyone's forest) Media cosmos, is a library in Gifu prefecture. With a decidedly modern design and atypical radial building layout, it can be a bit difficult to find one's way around at first. But, once visitors make it to the second floor where the library begins, they will be treated to the forest of umbrellas. Large hanging hemispheres, these umbrellas help feed natural light into the respective sections of the library while also shaping its areas. Underneath each umbrella there is a different knowledge hub, each pertains to the interests and age group of the visitors the hub caters to. On the ground level, there is gallery space and conference space. No matter what your interests may be, the Gifu Media Cosmos has something for you.
