Creating your own unique flavor of Cup Noodles is really an attractive activity in the museum. If you go there in rush hour, you may need to wait. When I bought ticket in the 1st floor, the stuff asked me whether I will join in the activity and which time slot I want to go, and then gave me a numbered ticket. Because I went there in weekday, I didn’t wait a long time. The stuff will tell you the process. And if you don’t speak Japanese, they have introduction boards in English and Chinese. You will buy a cup in vending machine and start to design it. I think it is okay if you want to buy 2 cups for one person, or even more as you want. In the 4th floor, noodles bazaar, you can try some noodles from different countries. The portion size is not very big, and the price is relatively low. And in the terrace near the noodles bazaar, you can see the beautiful seascapes of Yokohama. Generally I think it is a spot worthy visiting if you are interested in noodles.

The Cup Noodles museum was on my list of places to visit in Yokohama because I read that you could design your own flavor of cup noodles, so I was mainly curious to see how that would go. After paying the entrance fee and price of one cup, I sat down at one of the many round tables and started drawing on it with the markers provided. After that, I got to choose the flavor and toppings for my noodles and help in the process of getting it packed and sealed. After it was done, visitors can bring it home in an adorable inflatable bag that you can carry across your chest for the rest of the day. With four floors dedicated to the history of cup noodles and its founder Momofuku Ando and an international noodles restaurant on the top floor, there is an abundance of things for both adults and kids to do.
