Bishamondo Temple is a Buddhist temple in the Yamashina district of Kyoto. Dedicated to the lucky god Bishamonten, it is located in the north of Yamashina at a foot of a mountain. Due to the beautiful scenery and many trees in the area, it is a top spot for seeing the autumnal colors. It has a history of more than 1300 years and belongs to the Tendai sect of Japanese Buddhism.
