”Satoyama” is one of Japan's proudest natural landscapes.
”Satoyama” is a place that has been passed on as a treasure house of diverse flora and fauna and as a beautiful landscape through agriculture and forestry, which were once part of people's daily lives.
This tour offers visitors a chance to enjoy local cuisine in Tamba Sasayama City in Hyogo Prefecture, a popular Satoyama in the Kansai area.
The town is also home to many artists. Watchmakers, potters, jewelry artists, photographers, etc. Most of them moved here from the city because they liked the satoyama here. Let's visit their studios!
待ち合わせ場所
Your guide will meet you at the JR Sasayamaguchi station.
It takes about 1.5 hours from Shin-Osaka to JR Sasayamaguchi Station by new rapid train for about 1,200 yen.
From JR Sasayamaguchi station, we will take a hired taxi to the sightseeing spots.
(Transportation fares for a guide and guests are not included.)
( Guide lives in Osaka so please add 2400 yen for a round trip transportation fee for a guide )

Many types of artists live in Tamba Sasayama and work in their workshops. If you make a reservation in advance, you can have them show you how they work.

Botan-nabe is the Japanese hot pot dish using wild boar meat.It is rarely seen in urban areas, but is a specialty in the Satoyama.
