Torii Gates in the Sea
Torii Gates in the Sea is a location found off the coast of Tara, Saga prefecture, a set of 3 red torii gates (gates used before entering or exiting a shrine), that emerge from the Ariake Sea. A rising Instagram hot spot, this is a uniquely Japanese site and definitely worth the visit. Depending on whether it's high tide or low tide, the gates maybe partly submerged, or completely free to walk in and around. There is also a lantern festival held in August where over 500 lanterns light up around the torii gates making for a very beautiful and romantic atmosphere.
