Otsuka Museum of Art
Considered the most renowned art museum in Japan, the Otsuka Museum of Art can be found in Naruto Park. Built in honor of the Otsuka Pharmaceutical Group’s 75th anniversary in 1998, this museum features life size reproductions of masterpieces ranging from western art, ancient work, and pieces from the 20th century – including works by Michelangelo, Monet, Picasso, El Greco, and Goya. You can also find altars, entire halls, tombs, and outside exhibits standing here.
The paintings were reproduced on ceramic boards through a special technique developed by Otsuka Ohmi Ceramics Co., Ltd. which is said to preserve their colors for over 2000 years!
You can also find the rather cute robot named ‘Mr. Art’, who can assist you in knowing more about the galleries, café, and providing other helpful information.
