Osanbashi Pier
The Osanbashi Pier in Yokohama is an international passenger terminal that doubles as a tourism hotspot. With a history spanning over a century, it was historically a very important point for Japanese trade, handling many exports and imports. Having been destroyed several times, in both the Great Kanto Earthquake and Second World War, its current design dates to 2002 and is quite modern and innovative. With a multi tiered wooden platform and grassy stretches incorporated into the pier's design, it is a favored spot for people to sit down at and relax amidst the hubbub of Yokohama. The pier also regularly hosts exhibitions and events that are worth checking out.

A pleasant area for a stroll, offering panoramic views of the Yokohama Bay area. From here you'll be able to see countless ships passing by in addition to the Red Brick Warehouse and Yokohama Landmark Tower. Can get quite chilly due to the wind during the colder months so bring some warm clothes. The only gripe I had about this place was the apparent fact that quite often the designers put style over function, which you can see in several dead ends and illogical paths. Overall great place and a must see if you visit Yokohama!
