Okazakijo Castle
Okazakijo Castle, located in Okazaki city in the Aichi prefecture, is an especially famous castle in Japan due to it being the birth place of perhaps one of the most famous Japanese Shogun, Tokugawa Ieyasu; the founder and leader of the Tokugawa Shogunate that ruled Japan until the Meiji Restoration in 1868. Learn about the rich history of the Samurai and Shogun of the times at the museum located on site dedicated to the life of Tokugawa Ieyasu. The area surrounding the castle also acts as a park, and is a popular space for viewing cherry blossoms, as well as wisteria and azalea flowers.
