Odawarajo Castle
Odawarajo Castle in Kanagawa prefecture is a fun and vibrant restored castle park. Filled with cherry blossoms and flowers, Odawarajo Castle certainly has a beautiful aesthetic. There is even a small zoo and a miniature train to ride on, making it a great destination for families with children as well. But the other activities possible there have not undermined the core castle aspect of Odawarajo, with rentable samurai clothing and a massive five-story restored castle keep. And with a number of rudimentary English translations in the castle's integrated museum, the accessibility of Odawarajo Castle is quite high.

I stumbled across this spot. The castle itself is not too far from Odawara station so it can make a nice quick addition to a trip in the area as you can spend any amount of time at the spot and get something from it. There are multiple entrances to the castle itself with a few other attractions such as the aforementioned zoo. There is also a ninja museum. In the summer, there are stalls that offer ice cream and kakigori: a shaved ice dessert. The castle is flanked by a moat and an incredible shrine featuring koi. Overall, would highly recommend.
