National Showa Memorial Museum
The National Showa Memorial Museum located in central Tokyo, is an important national facility for the collection, storage and display of items describing what life was like in Japan during and after the Second World War, and the unimaginable hardships that were endured by many Japanese people. "Showa" refers to the time period between 1926 and 1989 in Japanese history when Emperor Showa reigned over Japan. Take a look into what Japan was like during this time period, in terms of living conditions, the effects and hardships that was brought, and then ensuing baby-boom after the war.
