Miyama Kayabuki no Sato (Thatched Roof Village) located in the Miyama district of Kyoto, is famous for being a small but beautiful hamlet of old thatched roof farmhouses. Built using traditional techniques, the historical thatched roof farmhouses and surround wooded areas and farmland make for quite the picturesque Japanese scenery regardless of the season. Enjoy beautiful greenery during the summer months and snow-topped houses during the winter months.
