Matsukawa Koen Park
Matsukawa Koen Park lies just off the banks of the Matsukawa River, which flows through Toyama City. An oasis of green within the city, the park is also equipped with a walking path, lanterns, benches, and even a number of sculptures by local artists. While the park is popular all year round, the best time to visit is unquestionably spring, when the cherry trees that line the banks of the river come into bloom. There are also cruises that run on the river and through the park, allowing passengers to appreciate the artworks while gliding under the peaceful boughs of cherry blossoms.
