Harajiri no Taki Waterfalls
Harajiri no Taki Waterfalls, located in the quaint countryside of Oita prefecture, is a set of waterfalls that appear in the middle of a field of rice paddies, making it quite the unique spot. Also know as the "Niagara of the Far East", this beautiful set of waterfalls although not as large as the Niagara Falls on the American/Canadian border, due to the surrounding geography and rock formations, allow for a much closer look and you can actually walk along the top of it, as well look up at it from below too. Also, down river, you can find the Takimibashi bridge, an old suspension bridge that provides another different view of the waterfalls at this picturesque relaxing spot.
