Hakuba47 Winter Sports Park
Hakuba47, famous for its first-rate snow quality as well as the amount of snow it gets, is located in Hakuba, Nagano prefecture. One of the unique characteristics of Hakuba47 is its long season; on an average year, the slopes are open for use from mid-November through early May. There are a wide variety of courses available here, from slopes for kids and beginners to those for experts, and even full-fledged half-pipe facilities. In addition to the courses, there are all sorts of other convenient establishments: napping rooms, onsen, kids rooms, a 24-hour base lodge, and more. There are tons of events during the snow season as well, such as ball-hunt competitions, a New Year's festival, slalom camps, and full-scale tournaments.
But of course, don't forget about the gourmet foods! From award-winning, authentic stone-oven baked pizza to vegetarian shops that use an abundance of organic ingredients from the Shinshu area, any kind of food you fancy is available at one of the diverse restaurants.
Even if you're a first-time skier or snowboarder, there's no doubt that you'll enjoy your time at Hakuba47.

One of the most famous ski resorts in the area and possibly even all of Japan. This mountain has a lot to offer everyone who comes to it, no matter your skill level, there will be a run that you can enjoy. There is a big variety in the level of difficulties of the runs and so it's really good if you want to progress and challenge yourself. The slops are really well maintained and most days there will be a lot of fresh powder. They have got all the gear you will need for hire whether you are skiing or snowboarding. Plenty of great food choices too for when you come off the mountain. The mountain is very easily accessible, with a free shuttle bus running almost every hour from many different points around the town, getting there is no problem at all. I highly reccomend this ski resort if you are visiting Japan and wanna have a good time on the slopes.
