Hachinohe Sake Brewery
Hachinohe Sake Brewery is notable for its elegant Taisho-era building, which combines a brick building and a Japanese house. The building is designated by Hachinohe as an Important Scenic Building and also as a National Tangible Cultural Property. All the rice used to make Hachinohe Shuzo Sake Brewery’s local sake is grown in Aomori Prefecture. Other raw materials used primarily originate from Aomori, for example, and the famed water of the Kanisawa District. The brewery offers sake brewing tours where visitors can walk around the six large tanks and watch the sake brewing process in action. As a souvenir, we recommend the Sake Lees Bath Bomb Hassen Beauty Bath, which is created for the sake of Hassen lees, which is the pride of the brewery. Hachinohe Sake Brewery is a must visit sightseeing spot sake lovers.
*Sake Kasu is the lees leftover from the refining process of Sake production.
