Cupnoodles Museum
The Cupnoodles Museum in Osaka is an irresistible spot for any noodle fan. The world's first instant ramen, Chicken Ramen, was created in 1958 by Momofuku Ando, followed by the world's first cup noodle, Cup Noodles, in 1971. Since then, these noodles have become an inexpensive and easy to eat food not only in Japan but all over the world. At the Cupnoodles Museum, visitors can experience and learn about the history of instant noodles through exhibits, including one that is a replica of the research hut where the noodles were first created. The most popular activity is the workshop where visitors can make their own original cup noodles. At this workshop, participants can create their own cup design, choose one of four different kinds of soups, and pick four of twelve toppings. At the end, they can take their original ramen home as a souvenir. (No reservation required; JPY 400 per cup.)
