Located in Nishiaizu-machi, Fukushima Prefecture, Torioi Kannon (Nyoho-ji Temple) is counted as one of the Japan Heritage Aizu 33 Kannon. At this temple, there are carvings of three monkeys called Kakure Sanzaru that were made by Hidari Jingoro, a renowned sculptor of the Edo period. Each of the carvings has a specific story behind it, and it is believed to be a sign of good luck for anyone who can find all three monkeys.
