About Mediator

How would you like to participate in crafts in Aichi, a prefecture located in the center of Japan? I am the mother of three children living in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture. I like traditional crafts　and have created many craft works while personally visiting production areas and interacting with artisans. Aichi is associated with famous warlords such as Oda Nobunaga, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and Tokugawa Ieyasu. To develop their castle towns, these warlords brought together outstanding artisans from all over Japan. They produced many craft items, so Aichi is still Japan's fifth top location in terms of the number of crafts produced. (1st & 2nd place: Tokyo & Kyoto 18, 3rd & 4th place: Niigata & Okinawa 17, 5th place: Aichi 14) Activities available include tie-dyeing, pottery, cloisonne, yuzen :blush:dyeing, and many other experiences. We invite you to have a go at creating something that you will always remember as you enjoy the craft culture of Aichi.
